Gentle Childbirth
If you are expecting a baby – Congratulations! This is a wonderful and very exciting time for you.
You have so much to look forward to and by learning self-hypnosis you can take a huge step towards a confident, relaxed and empowering birth, free from fear. You may not have considered hypnosis for childbirth before, so here are a few facts:
Did you know?
* The average length of labour for mums using prenatal hypnosis is significantly reduced. One study (Jenkins and Pritchard, 1993) of 126 first time mums found that labour lasted on average 6.4 hours after hypnosis, compared with 9.4 hours for mums without hypnosis. Even more amazing, a retrospective survey by Gallagher (2001) noted that participants in the Hypnosis for Childbirth series averaged 4.5 hours of active labour, compared with 12 hours in other first time mums.
* Mums using hypnosis preparation for childbirth use significantly less medication. Both sets of research back this up. This is good for baby, and good for you because less drugs means faster recovery.
* You can learn the self-hypnosis techniques needed for a comfortable and confident childbirth in just 4 individual sessions. And you remain fully aware and able to cooperate with doctors and midwives throughout.

Hi there,
I am interested in doing a gentle birthing workshop. I received a Focus Hypnosis postcard when I purchased some clothes from Room for two in Subiaco today and it has made me want to try it. I’m only 19 and a half weeks and am not due until May 2011 however the postcard said to book in early. Can you send me some more information about it, including prices etc? I live in Canning Vale and noticed you have a centre in Victoria Park which would probably suit me the best.
Thank you for your time.
Jacinta Ashman
Hi Jacinta
Congratulations on your pregnancy. Hope you are well and enjoying this very special time. I can mail or email you some information about the four individual sessions which you would need to undertake at about 34 weeks. You can then decide if you want to attend an optional workshop beforehand. You will be eligible for a discount on both the workshop and the 4 sessions because you have registered early.
Kind regards
Hilary
Hi Hilary
I would love to get the information aswell as per the above, i’m only 16 weeks pregnant but would like to book in to do your gentle birthing workshop at around 30 weeks.
Thanks
Pip
HI Hillary, I would like to get more information about your private classes. How much does it cost, where do you do them. I read the book Hypnobirthing – the Mongan method. Do you teach this course? If not, how how does your course differ from the one mentioned above?
thank you. Helen (20 weeks pregnant)
